Something for everyone at sea in 2007 & New Caribbean holidays are announced for spring 2008
Cruise passengers - and potential cruise travellers - can relax and be inspired when they take home the new 2007 P&O Cruises brochure.
For the first time, a complimentary half-hour DVD introducing the P&O Cruises holiday experience is included with the first edition brochure published by Britain’s leading cruise line.
P&O Cruises head of brand marketing, Philip Price, said the DVD explores the ambience and variety of features found on board the company’s ships – Arcadia and Oceana, Aurora and Oriana, and Artemis – as well as the array of destinations visited around the world.
“The DVD transports passengers on board and abroad. It is visually inspiring and gives a true representation of what a cruise holiday is like today. Newcomers will find watching the DVD answers a lot of questions and allays any misconceptions they may have about time spent on board a ship.
“It is also important people understand the different experiences we offer within our fleet. This DVD helps passengers identify the right cruise holiday for their needs, whether they are groups of friends, young couples, families or seasoned cruisers,” said Price.
The new brochure includes the first announcement of the 2008 spring Caribbean itineraries on board Arcadia and Oceana, as well as the complete 2007 itineraries for all five ships in the fleet from April to December. New ports include Grand Turk in the Turks and Caicos Islands, Savannah in the United States and Valencia in Spain, as well as lesser-known ports in the increasingly fashionable Baltic region, such as Vaasa in Finland and Klaipeda in Lithuania.
The main edition brochure embraces P&O Cruises new visual identity and is on sale from June 5. This brochure has been re-designed to acknowledge and incorporate feedback from customers.
“We believe the new identity and design convey the nature of the experience to be found on board. We want selecting a ship and an itinerary to be an effortless and satisfying experience, just like taking the cruise holiday itself,” said Price.
Like the DVD, the brochure aims to match passengers with their ideal cruise holiday. It looks in-depth at each on board experience; Arcadia and Oceana provide contemporary and innovative cruise holidays, Aurora and Oriana provide an original and authentic experience, and Artemis has a traditional and intimate ambience.
There is also a section of the brochure dedicated to cruises breaks. These holidays are ideal for newcomers to cruising to ‘test the water’ by booking a two-night party cruise, three or four-night city break or a seven-night short break.
Other content to inspire and inform passengers includes:
- Destination descriptions to suit all types of traveller including cities, idyllic islands, scenic locations and ‘off the beaten track’ ports.
- An introduction to the diversity of the shore excursions P&O Cruises offers, whether passengers enjoy city tours or something more adventurous like an all terrain cross country ride.
- Dedicated ‘sea days’ pages describing the activities and amenities found on board, to dispel any fears newcomers might have about being bored on sea days.
- A taste of the variety of entertainment offered, including West End-style shows, Arcadia’s signature Cirque Arcadia show, comedy performances, live music and sail away deck parties.
