Put yourself on the map at the New Forest Show
All visitors are encouraged to register their home towns on charts and maps within the area, to give a visual record of how far people have travelled to enjoy the Show.
It is perhaps enlightening to know that the Church Tent is one of the most popular areas on the showground at The New Forest & Hampshire County Show and attracts people from all over the world.
Why is this marquee so popular? Probably because it is a haven within the hustle and bustle of the showground, an oasis where people can take sit down, browse through the Christian bookstall, buy a gift from the craft stall, or sample the refreshments. They really do think of everything! There is even a children’s workshop to entertain the little ones, including face painting, badge and card making, whilst the parents take a well-deserved rest!
The provision in the tent is funded by donations made for the refreshments, which are provided and organised by the ladies of the Lyndhurst Deanery Mother’s
No doubt the main reason for visiting this area is to be a part of the family of the church, a place that somehow manages to provide that special feeling of belonging. The tent itself is very deliberately and strongly non-denominational so everyone is welcome. It certainly won’t be quiet but it will give everyone the chance recharge their batteries, before continuing around the Show.
