The Hotel
Chewton Glen is a luxury country-house hotel located on the edge of the ancient 'New Forest' in Hampshire and just a short walk from the sea. In the private ownership of Martin and Brigitte Skan for the past 40 years, Chewton Glen has been voted the 'Best Small Hotel under 100 Rooms in the world'.
Bedrooms & Suites
Under the guidance of Brigitte Skan, each of the 58 bedrooms and suites have been decorated to provide the ultimate in luxury and comfort. The combination of unique antique furnishings, magnificent fabrics and countless knick-knacks has created a sophisticated and contemporary style.
Each bedroom is individually designed and decorated to give it a unique 'feel' and atmosphere. As you would expect in a world class hotel, each room is equipped to the highest standard to help make your stay at Chewton Glen a wonderful, relaxing experience.
The Restaurant
The Marryat Restaurant offers a variety of dishes from a selection of menus. The style of cookery is eclectic, and extensive use is made of fresh local produce such as wild mushrooms, vegetables and game from the New Forest, and seafood from Christchurch and Lymington. A vegetarian menu is always available. There is a choice of over 500 wines to accompany your food. Recently voted amongst the best 25 restaurants in the UK by Egon Ronay.
The Spa
Voted Best Hotel Spa in Europe by Germany's Gala magazine, Chewton Glen sets a new benchmark in hotel spa facilities. A selection of over 50 exclusive beauty and body treatments is provided by a team of highly qualified therapists and fitness instructors. The club is spacious and luxurious, and features the latest technology along with the highest level of comfort. The centrepiece of the club is a 17-metre 'ozone treated' classical style indoor pool. A £3.5 million phased refurbishment of the Spa was completed in early 2005. The gym has been fitted out with 'Air Machine' resistance equipment, three new treatment rooms and a relaxation room have been added and a separate sauna and steam room installed in each of the creatively styled ladies and gentlemens changing rooms. The Pool Bar lounge has been considerably extended as a focal point for the club and provides a wide range of light meals and snacks. The hydrotherapy pool is the crowning glory of the new spa.
Additional Leisure Facilities
Within the 130 acres of grounds there are a 9-hole par 3 golf course, a practice range, two indoor and two outdoor tennis courts, an outdoor swimming pool, a croquet lawn and a putting green. There are many delightful walking and jogging trails around the grounds, including one to the nearby beach. There is also a billiard table in the Club Room, situated on the first floor of the hotel.
Conferencing Facilities
Chewton Glen has a wide range of state of the art conferencing facilities for even the most demanding corporate Client.

Ed's Comment:
What does a venue like Chewton Glen mean to Lymington? Well just think of all those large corporates choosing conferences and associated entertainment in the area, wedding parties staying in our local Hotels and B&B's and people from all over the world coming here to check out the area and spend their cash. Need I say more? So at least from the Team here we say 'yes Chewton Glen you are the bees knees and long may you reign!'
