With leading Spider expert Dick Jones
With 30 years of experience under his belt, Dick Jones will explain how to identify the differences between species and will offer a brighter insight into these misunderstood and often feared creatues.

Beaulieu River Boat Trip with Bob Lord, Natural England
Our popular summer evening boat trips return - in a new boat this year! Jenny r s owned by Blue Funnel. OUr trp goes from Buckler's Har jetty to the mouth of the Beaulieu river at Needs Ore and there is an on board guide each time. Plenty of wildlife interest en route!

Guarenteed - a fun, sociable, and energetic evening - a barn dance christening our new barn after the fire!
Good Quality BBQ Food - served 7:00 - 8:00pm. Local beef burgers and our own pork, corn on the cob and our own home grown salad plus strawberries and cream. Bar - beer, cider, wine, and soft drinks. Plus raffle with great prizes.

Damsels & Dragons

New Forest Study Centre

have you ever wanted to tell the damsels from the dragons, spot a Chaser, Hawker or Darter or see the Beautiful Demoiselle? This one day course will give you the tools of the trade in the morning and then we will go out on a field visit to identify dragonflies and damselflies around Hatchet Pond in the New Forest.
This course is aimed at adults and young people.

Mothy Madness & BBQ

Come and enjoy the lovely surroundings of Hartford Wood in the evening and discover just how beautiful and interesting moths are! We will be setting a moth trap and will try lure moths to a bait of red wine and sugar painted onto tree trunks - great fun for children. Plus, Mothy slideshow & BBQ.
